I second your first choice--- I'm using the BAM200 + 2 BC208 cabs. If you're not playing insanely loud, they work fine and are lightweight. I use 'em at outdoor winery gigs when I have to carry gear a long way down a dirt path, etc. The amp is 2 lbs, and the cabs each are 20 lbs. Easy on the back, and small footprint that ... ... more

I mentioned the BAM200 on the 1st page, included link and weight of amp head. I also suggested the Hartke HD112, this cab is switchable from 4 and 8 Ohms. I believe it would be louder than the BC208 and would be able to use the full power the head has to offer. ... more
