Replacement Truss Rod Nut
DescriptionReplacement 4mm Truss Rod Nut for Tribute Series models and USA instruments manufactured from mid-2006 to mid-2013. Includes two brass spacer washers. Current US models and Tributes built 2015 and later have dual-action truss rods with integrated truss nut that is welded on, not replaceable.
Includes adjustment 4mm hex wrench.

This confirms that the current truss rods, and the one on the L-2500 I sold, have the nut welded before installation. That means it came from the factory and was not welded by someone later. Thanks for that information! ... more
As mine (JB-2) was built pre-2013 it had a typical 7ender-style compression rod. Given this piece of information about current (since 2013) TRs, the reverse threaded rod now makes sense. ... more

That's news to me. In fact, it's good news to me because it means all of my G&Ls have dual truss rods, and I sure do like those. Unfortunately, the welded on nut is a downside to them. Thank you for sending along that info. Frankly, I'm surprised that Cort would go to that trouble, but I'm glad they do. Dunno how I missed ... ... more

I got a used/for repair CV 51' style neck with a stripped nut. I was able to file down the "cheeks" on a cheap flathead screwdriver enough that it would go in the hole and actually grabbed the stripped nut.
