Yeah they've been doing it for years. Good for him for not taking himself, or his company, too seriously. It's a little corny. But they do make some outstanding pickups. I would say this...since you're not really starting from scratch and only replacing pickups & controls, you're limited (not in a bad way) to work with what you have. Those pickups are (maybe) an EMG 40-size 1.51″ x 4.02″ (you have to measure) so you will need to use a pickup of the same dimension. Aguilar and Nordstrand ... ... more

The pickups that came in there are emg sized. 4xinch and a half I believe. It did have a 3 band pre inside. Thing is that it sounds really missing something.
