DescriptionThe PVA2 HZ pickup is based on the original EMG PHZ but utilizes Alnico 2 magnets instead of ceramic. This gives the PVA a warmer tone that has more vintage character.

I put an Ivory EMG PVA2 HZ in my MIM Player, as I wanted a colour co-ordinated cover to inlays, nut and pickguard, while looking traditional with exposed poles. I found The EMG active P pickups sort of a one trick pony for tone. They didn't really offer a wide palette for tonal options. I've been using a Wilde P passive for about 6 years (if I recall correctly), and I really like them. ... more
