The stock input impedance is 1MΩ. If you have an acoustic pickup that requires a specialized input impedance, write it in the notes during check-out, and we will accomodate the request at no extra cost. The output impedance is 100Ω. This d

Actually its the high pass filter that cleans up the low end and that might help a lot. You've got a hollowbody and a shorter than short scale bass going through 15 inch speakers so starting there is not a bad idea. IMO the "phat" sound you seek might come from cleaning up the low end with the HPF and then perhaps some ... ... more

As Wasnex stated, you are likely clipping the amp head. The Ampeg 810e can handle 800 watts RMS (continuous power rating) and perhaps 300 more watts of clean power would help here. There are a couple things going on here in my opinion. One being EQ. Can you play an open B with everything flat (both bass and amp) at ANY volume? Welcome to TB! My recommendations for pedals: With a passive bass, you'll benefit from a buffer amp at the top of your signal chain. Broughton Audio's Bandwidth Buffer Amp is my pick. A tuner. The Sonic Research ST-300 (full size) is my pick. IME/IMHO a strobe tuner is more precise, and just as easy to use. A compressor. ... ... more
