I agree about the nebulous definition of "best". But - if you want a good starting point, I built one of @Arjank's Cyclops cabinets with the Dayton PN395-8. It sounds awesome. That driver is relatively inexpensive, is lightweight, has decent top-end extension, and will handle a good amount of power. ... more

I think the first problem is that the Dayton 395-8 calls for a 1.6 cubic foot optimum vented cabinet, while you have it in a 4.3 cubic foot cabinet. ... more
