I've used KX ZST's, but I eventually settled on CCA C10's. I firmly believe that the earbuds themselves are far less important than the way they fit in your ears. If you want to hear your bass, they have to fit properly. I used Radians earplugs to DIY molds of my ears. You just put the putty in you ear, press the earbud ... ... more

I already ordered the TRN V80's earlier today in hopes that they'll be delivered by rehearsal night later this week BUT if they don't happen to work out, I will be returning them and I'll give the CCA C10's a shot. That's high, should be $50 - $65ish for both. Make sure he is just quoting you for the impressions, not a finished earpiece. Looks like you can make your own molds for $11.00 [link] If you are adventurous, maybe try making the whole custom earpiece at home. [link] ... more
