We also only have genuine strings; we get all of our strings from factory-authorized sources (despite protestations on their websites, I can assure you that I know that some of our competitors, touting their "lower than anyone" prices, do NOT. I'm using an Innovation SilverSlap EA / SBW Deluxe "Dirty Gut" DG mix that has been pretty pleasant for the last couple of years: excellent volume and clarity from all strings. Innovation strings are now made by GHS and while that transition has been challenging for GHS, it sounds like they've got these strings pretty stable ... ... more

You can buy new individual strings from various sellers including Gollihur Music. That's how I got my SilverSlaps E and A. And you can order a bump set (6-strings of graduating gauge and tension) of Superior Bassworks Deluxe Dirty Gut strings direct for $62.97; Amazon also carries them.
