Description
L-90When Bill released the L90 in 1976 he revolutionized the guitar industry by releasing a new pickup design with twin blades. At that time there were two models, the L90 4.0 and L90 6.0. This pickup was released in an era when the PAF dominated and the L90 is a high performance pickup with no feedback, securely mounted, no hum and has a beautiful low-end creamy sound.
When we re-issued the program in 2006 Bill extended the model choices by adding the 2.0, 2.8, and 8.0 models for

In that case I can enthusiastically recommend the Wilde L90 in either the 4H or the 6H version. Crystal clear highs, full and deep lows, and plenty of output. Ah, that means you can choose from the huge variety of pickups that are marketed/labeled as "guitar" pickups. (Hint: they work fine for bass too.) That looks like a guitar HB sized pickup, so if it were me, I'd be tempted to look a something like a Wilde L90 (2.0 or 2.8) before messing with a piezo and electronics. ... more

Thing is I want to amplify the sound of the resonator, not just the strings. That fretless resonator that Steve built has no electronics at all, purely acoustic. I been meaning to put a biscuit on it as well. ... more
