The super p has a different pickup. The poles are in different position. This has the same pickup in both spots and is also further apart than the Super p and super j. [link] ... more

+1 that bass has something totally different in it. Here's a SJ/SP config. Clearly different than those pickups, and also shows how they're different from each other. FYI, the SJ is supposed to only move the poles about .5", because that's the difference between the 70's bridge pickup (closer to the bridge) and the 60's ... ... more
