Respectfully, I disagree. While it's true heat rises, the power amp has a fan outlet to direct the airflow front to back. I recommend putting your heaviest component at the bottom of the rack for better stability. I also think that putting the preamp at the top makes the controls harder to access. This is incorrect, the amp generates no heat that's transferred through the chassis, it's fan cooled so it makes zero difference. Because it makes no difference, and what you have now is a top heavy rack. The experience and common sense shows here. ... more
