Behringer Ultralink MS8000 Microphone Splitter
Description
The Behringer Ultralink MS8000 8-channel microphone splitter sends your mic signal to multiple locations, such as mixing consoles, stage monitors, and broadcast trucks. This, for example, would allow you to connect to front of house and your in-ear monitors simultaneously. Eight inputs and 16 outputs provide you with plenty of flexibility, while a Lift/Ground switch and linkable channels make the Ultralink MS8000 an indispensable tool for stage and studio. Keep in mind that there are different types of splitters: A splitter snake is one stage box with 2 tails such as this. And a rackmount splitter is a box on a rack that you connect directly into, such as this. And a combo of the 2 such as this. If you do need a stage snake to run from the stage to your mixer then I recommend ... ... more

I disagree with the 1st option being more flexible personally the rack splitters are able to let you use different snake lengths or a combination of a short and long snake mixed with individual cables or anything to you need for example the stage doesn't have all of its stage drops centrally located, unless you had a massively ... ... more

Yes and yes, but you would need snake cables or deal with bundling your own (or deal with a spaghetti pile). You might consider a rackmount splitter snake. I have one from Seismic Audio with 5 and 15 foot tails. SARMSS-16x515 - 16 Channel XLR TRS Combo Splitter Snake Cable - 5' and 15' XLR trunks I caught it on sale and ... ... more

I wish we could bury this meme already. The ZS10s punch above their price point, but are large and have a thick nozzle, not going to fit everyone. Stock cable and tips are not great, so more $$ required there (Comply T-500 foams fit). I've recommended the SE215 to many people with universal satisfaction. They're small and ... ... more

New Plan: I am think of using a passive microphone splitter (like a Behringer ms8000 or an ART S8) to take all the incoming microphones/*instrument signals and split them two-ways. *instruments going through DI box, XLR into the splitter. I will route one copy of the signal to the snake as usual. Then the other will be ... ... more

I can't think of a mixer that would meet all those requirements, but have you considered getting a multi-channel splitter, or a splitter snake, and sending one split to your current mixer and the other split to a multi-channel interface? Here's a splitter suggestion, and here's an interface. This would get you 8 tracks, ... ... more
