Most tuners are 3/8". 1/2" ones are usually recommended for thicker and/or heavier strings, like flatwounds. Not sure if you've bought new tuners yet, but here's the size difference between 3/8" Hipshot Ultralites, and Gotoh Resolites in the same size.
