Once again replying to my own question: Tempest wheels for the refreshed Model S are these: Model S 19" Tempest Wheel and Winter Tire Package For me, the benefit is that I like these enough that I don't feel the need to spend the money for Arachnid (or aftermarket) 20s or 21s...for now. 😉 ... more

Pre-refresh wheels and covers were called Tempest. Post-refresh, the wheels are now Cardenio and they have a darker Tempest cover (but interchangeable). And Tesla refers to the winter wheel package as Tempest wheels even though they are actually Cardenio wheels and don't even come with the Tempest covers... Clear as mud. ... ... more

This has been covered many times. It's normal. Due to the camber setup and aggressive summer tires in cold climes (like MI this time of year) you may want to invest in some suitable tires for the winter. High performance summer tires and Michigan weather don't mix. It's also referred to as the bunny hop, and is because ... ... more

Just came back across this post. $745 for each Tempest wheel only (or $2980 for 4x) means that Tesla's winter set (when in stock)really is a total bargain at $2750 for 4x Tempest wheels, 4x TPMS (around $300), and 4x Pirelli P Zero Winter (these are over $400 a tire if you were to buy them yourself!). I hope this set comes ... ... more

@WilliamG You are peddling a ghost solution as they are not available; and even when they are, they are not 🤪 Might as well be a $1, or a $1M, as you can't get them, appearently, anytime soon. Shout out: Did anyone who ordered them the other night, when they appeared briefly to be available, get them or a valid tracking ... ... more

May be a while. This was listed last night and lasted a few hours before going out of stock. Was lucky enough to snag a set (cheers, @jebinc and @Daniellane). Might be worth setting up an alert for those that need something practical for the wintry months. [link] ... more

I saw that too. I'd be tempted to get some all seasons for my 21's but I would be worried about losing traction at a critical moment in the summer... With over 1000hp you really can't mess around. I'll probably keep the summers and eventually get some all seasons on some aftermarket wheels. ... more
